Sustainable Farming
Grass-led rotational grazing, careful nutrient planning and soil health at the centre of every season.

County Waterford · Ireland
Mount Congreve Farm Limited is committed to sustainable dairy farming, exceptional animal care, and producing quality dairy through responsible agricultural practices in Ireland.
About Us
Established on 26 September 2019, Mount Congreve Farm Limited is an Irish dairy enterprise based at Loughmore House, Woodstown, County Waterford. Our principal activity is the raising of dairy cattle — and every decision we make begins with the wellbeing of the herd and the land that sustains it.
Led by director and founder Edward Allen Walsh, the farm is run on straightforward family values: do the work properly, look after the animals, and leave the ground in better condition than you found it. Those principles sit alongside genuinely modern farming practice — careful grassland management, a modern rotary milking parlour, and bright, naturally ventilated housing designed around cow comfort.
The result is a farm that is both traditional and forward-looking: sustainable in how it grazes and grows, exacting in animal welfare, and consistent in the quality of the milk it produces.

Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainability on a dairy farm is not a statement — it is grazing rotations, soil tests, hedgerows left standing and cattle housed properly through the winter. We manage Loughmore House with the long view: healthy ground, healthy animals, and a farm worth handing on.

Irish Dairy Excellence
Irish dairy farming is built on a rare combination: a green, grass-growing climate, generations of family expertise, and some of the most rigorous quality standards in Europe. Mount Congreve Farm is part of that tradition.

Ireland's temperate climate grows grass for most of the year, so our herd is fed the way nature intended — out on pasture.
The fields around Woodstown enjoy clean Atlantic air, reliable rainfall and deep, productive Waterford soils.
Low-intensity, grass-based systems keep our environmental footprint modest and our watercourses protected.
Family farming knowledge carried forward — an understanding of land and livestock that cannot be bought in.
Irish dairy is recognised worldwide for traceability and quality assurance, and we farm to those standards every day.
